What every professing believer in Jesus must know-The truth about the gospel that Jesus preached by Anthony Buzzard
Thanks Anthony for this great info!
I struggled with the Trinity doctrine. Take some moments to listen to the following podcasts by Dale Tuggy. I have listened and researched these dozens of times myself. When I accepted the fact that we serve a logical, coherent and reasonable God, it made sense to me why he made us(humans that is) in his image. Unlike lower life forms, we reason, and, as Paul says, prove all things like a good Berean. This is not confusing & no mystery. What has been revealed is meant to be known. Deut 29:29
I was stuck in stage 1 for many years. After attending a local bible college, I moved quickly through these stages with the help of Dr. Tuggy. It was Bible college that led me to study hermeneutics . I learned to question everything and everyone in a loving manner. I haven't listened to all 310 of his podcasts, but I have listened to many a dozen or more times each. I respect Dale for is his calm demeanor and his consideration to both sides of the coin. He never gets frazzled and listens well.
It all starts with the knowledge and understanding of the Kingdom of God. This parable is the basis of Jesus's teachings on the Kingdom. It is by this understanding that everything else falls into place.
Deeper study regarding the parable of the sower and The Kingdom of God.
What is the seed? It's what is planted in your heart (the Hebrew teaching of what heart conveys is what a person understands. Logic and intellect, the ALL of who one is.)
Repetition is the fastest way to retain knowledge. Remember, we have an enemy who seeks to destroy! Who will thwart you and the seed in you. And, he is relentless. Thus, we are commanded to persevere, to overcome! If we're persevering, then salvation is an ongoing process.
Some great insight from Dustin Smith!
If you're going to defend a Biblical Unitarian status, this information regarding church history and the development of the doctrine of the trinity through the ecumenical councils is essential.
If the trinity doctrine had any truth to it, this, as well as Mark 12:29 FF would surely have been the teaching moment when the Messiah corrected the Shema! You've heard it said that God is one, but, I tell you the truth, God is 3 , and I am one of those three. Yet, Jesus assuredly confirms what Peter has stated and requires no more!
Great video by Sean Finnegan about pre Nicea Christian History
